Terms of Service

The agreement between you (the merchant) and Cryptrum Pay governing your use of the service. Last updated July 2026.

1. Acceptance

By creating a merchant account at Cryptrum Pay you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

Cryptrum Pay is a non-custodial cryptocurrency payment gateway. We never take custody of funds you receive from customers — funds settle on-chain directly to wallets you control, derived from a seed encrypted with a key only you hold.

3. Account & eligibility

• You must be 18 or older and legally able to enter contracts.
• You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current.
• You are responsible for the secrecy of your password, API keys and 2FA recovery codes.
• Third parties may not use your account, except authorized team members under RBAC.
• We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Billing — the CPT model

The service is paid for with prepaid CPT (Cryptrum Pay Token) credits — an internal compute credit, not a security or transferable token. Every operation deducts CPT per published weights; rates may be revised with 30 days' email notice.

• Prepaid balance — buy CPT in packs or custom amounts. No subscription, no minimums, no cancellation fee.
• At zero balance, API calls return 402 and on-chain operations queue with a clear error until you top up.
• Unused CPT does not expire, unless your account is closed for cause.

5. Customer payments

We never touch the funds your customers send. Deposits land in addresses derived from your seed and sweep automatically to your main wallet. We do not guarantee specific settlement times — on-chain conditions are outside our control.

6. Your responsibilities

• Comply with all laws applicable to your business — consumer protection, AML/KYC, tax, sanctions.
• Maintain accurate refund and return policies and surface them at checkout.
• Resolve disputes with your own customers — we are not a party to those transactions.
• Pay the on-chain gas your transactions consume (we pay on your behalf and bill via CPT).

7. Intellectual property

We retain all rights to the Cryptrum Pay brand, software, designs and documentation. You receive a non-exclusive, revocable license to use the service as a merchant for the duration of your account.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied. We do not guarantee uptime, blockchain confirmation times, exchange rates, or the legality of cryptocurrency in your jurisdiction.

9. Limitation of liability

Our aggregate liability for any claim is capped at the greater of (a) $100 USD or (b) the total fees you paid us in the preceding 12 months. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, special or punitive damages — including lost profits or data.

10. Suspension & termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate immediately for violation of these Terms, extended non-payment, suspected fraud or money laundering, or regulatory requirement.

11. Changes & contact
