Acceptable Use Policy

The activities you may not use Cryptrum Pay to enable. Read this carefully — violations result in account suspension. Last updated July 2026.

Prohibited activities

You may not use the service in connection with any of the following:

• Illegal activity under the laws of your jurisdiction or the operator’s jurisdiction
• Money laundering, terrorism financing, or evasion of sanctions / capital controls
• Fraud — including unauthorized use of payment methods, fake invoices, or chargeback abuse
• Sale of unlicensed financial services, securities, derivatives, or unregistered investment contracts
• Unlicensed gambling, betting, lotteries, or skill-game prizes
• Adult content involving minors, non-consensual content, or human trafficking
• Sale of weapons (including 3D-printed firearms, ammunition, regulated chemicals)
• Sale of controlled substances, precursors, drug paraphernalia, or pharma without license
• Multi-level marketing schemes, Ponzi/pyramid structures, or high-yield investment programs
• Mixers, tumblers, anonymity-coin laundering services
• Phishing, malware distribution, or any service designed to compromise third-party security
• Counterfeit goods or trademark infringement
• Personal-data brokering not compliant with applicable privacy law
• Activity in jurisdictions on sanctions lists (OFAC, EU, UK, UN)

Restricted (allowed only with prior written approval)

• Adult content (legal, consenting adults) — requires age-verification and chargeback-control plan
• Cannabis-adjacent — only where federally legal in the operating jurisdiction
• Crowdfunding for regulated investment instruments — requires evidence of license
• Crypto-to-fiat off-ramp aggregators — requires MSB/VASP license proof

Technical abuse

• Do not scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to derive seed material from the gateway
• Do not exceed published rate limits or attempt to bypass them with rotating keys
• Do not impersonate other merchants or Cryptrum Pay staff in webhooks or invoices
• Do not resell or white-label the API without a separate written agreement
• Do not use webhook destinations that target third-party systems without consent

Enforcement

We may suspend accounts immediately on reasonable suspicion of a violation. We may notify law enforcement where required. We will give you a chance to respond unless legally prohibited or the violation is ongoing and harmful.
